Answer Snippet
Can I have Profhilo if I’ve had Sculptra in the last 3 months?
Profhilo after Sculptra
May 15, 2019
I don't have personal experience with this, but I see no reason why any hyaluronic acid treatments couldn't be done this far out from having Sculptra injected.  Good luck!
Is anything comparable to pearl laser for the treatment of wrinkles and sun damage?
Pearl Laser Alternatives
May 15, 2019
There are many alternatives to the Pearl Laser.  Any Erbium laser is comparable, as is fractional CO2.  Comparable chemical peels exist as well, as there are many medium depth and medium-deep chemical peels that would give you great results for wrinkles and sun damage as well.  More important than the technology is there person delivering the treatment, as experienced hands can get great results using whatever tools they use to get them.
Is there anything else I can do to speed up healing after hyperpigmentation following Pearl Laser?
Hyperpigmentation after laser resurfacing
May 15, 2019
I think that hydroquinone 4% and a stronger steroid would be advisable.  You can't pre-treat after the treatment, but in middle eastern skin, you are at a higher risk of pigment changes after this type of treatment.  Aggressively treating this should make it resolve faster.
Is it safe to have fillers in the nasal root? Do the fillers go very deep?
Safety of non-surgical rhinoplasty
May 15, 2019
It is safe to use fillers here, though I would only have it done by a surgeon that is skilled at a surgical rhinoplasty, as the nose is a sensitive/risky area to have fillers injected in general.  The fillers do go deep here, as the filler should get placed below the muscle to mimic bone rather than a large muscle.
3 weeks post Erbium on my cheeks. I'm healing very slowly. Could I have an infection or contact der
Slow healing after Erbium Laser
May 15, 2019
Thanks for the question and pictures.  You seem to be healing quite slowly after this treatment, and I have had good results with treating with topical steroid creams to break the cycle of inflammation.  Also, I have had some people have mild fungal/yeast infections that I treated with vinegar soaks that improved significantly.  I would not recommend PRP, as I have never been convinced it did anything.
If I get fully ablative resurfacing for grids 1 year after Infini, will it give me larger pores?
Ablative resurfacing after Infini
May 15, 2019
Ablative or fractional treatments are both good ideas for post-infini grid marks.  I like fractional erbium and ablative erbium, though some others would do a fractional CO2 and ablative erbium.  I can't say much about the Fraxel, as I have no personal experience with this.  I have not seen larger pore size after these treatments.
Laser resurfacing on chest area - is it safe?
Fractional laser on chest
May 15, 2019
The blood supply of the chest is not as robust as the face, so there is theoretically a higher risk for slower healing and scarring on the chest than the face.  That said, with lower settings, the chest can be treated with great results.  I have had great results with the laser as well as a chemical peel, such as the Blue Peel, in this area.
Had filler previously, but have now been told I am not a good candidate for filler. What can I do f
Under eye bags
May 15, 2019
You look like you may benefit from a lower blepharoplasty to sculpt the lower eyelids and remove some skin.  Repositioning the fat pads of the lower eyelids can have a powerful effect, like permanent fillers, and also reduce the bags under your eyes instead of just filling the hollows out as you have done with fillers. Also, I would make sure that you have any underlying allergies treated, as this can prolong recovery after surgery.
How long should I wait to get a chemical peel TCA 35%, after having a facelift?
Chemical peel after facelift
May 15, 2019
An aggressive chemical peel (deeper than medium depth) should be done after the blood supply and drainage of the skin has stabilized.  Though this is mostly done by the 3 month mark, it largely depends on how the skin edges have healed after surgery, as this is the area with the most tenuous blood supply.  I would definitely check with your surgeon about this, as only they know the particulars of the surgery that you had and what to expect.
12 days post-op upper and lower eyelid surgery. How can I hasten recovery from swelling and bruisin
Swelling and redness after eyelid surgery
May 15, 2019
I would highly recommend you see your surgeon with your concerns.  While recovery for most takes around 2 weeks, this is an "average" number, and some people have a faster or slower recovery.  What I am worried about based on your picture is that you may be having a reaction to something you are doing, as the eyelids look like they have a mild dermatitis, and seeing your surgeon about this could be helpful in identifying the cause.
5 months post op, don't see much of a difference after upper eyelid surgery. Am I being too unreali
After Blepharoplasty
May 15, 2019
Thanks for the question and pictures.  I think that your after pictures show less skin than the "before" pictures, though you are noticing the lateral aspect of your eyelid still has some excess skin.  This can be addressed in many different ways, including removing extra skin and doing a brassiere suture to give more definition to the lateral eyelid.  Your brow appears to be in a good position, and this maneuver would support the brow fat pad and prevent it from falling, while tigh...
6 weeks post upper and lower eye lift with lower facelift. I've had no results. Can anyone advise?
After Surgery
May 15, 2019
Ria1234,Thanks for the question and pictures.  As you only provided us with a current picture, it's really hard to know what you looked like before surgery, and from multiple views.  This would help guide you farther.  I would strongly urge you to discuss your results with your surgeon, and they are most familiar with your anatomy and surgery.  Good luck!
What kind of treatment/surgery do I need?
Find a good oral surgeon
Feb 8, 2019
Thanks for the question and pictures.  I would start with finding an experienced oral/maxillofacial surgeon to talk to, as your skew bite may be altering, or giving the illusion of the nasal asymmetry.  There may be less to "fix" after getting your bite corrected, which needs to be done anyway.  Good luck!

Uvula low after Botox and Juvederm
Feb 8, 2019
Karla7200,What you are describing is quite strange given the treatments you had done.  I would give your surgeon a call and get an examination to see if you are having a strange reaction to a treatment, or if this is something unrelated but common, such as a respiratory illness.  I must say, I find it rather difficult to imagine a complication in your throat after getting the treatments you described.  Good luck!

Reaction to Voluma
Feb 7, 2019
Thanks for the question.  It is difficult to really say what you are allergic to, as Voluma has several components in it.  There is lidocaine, hyaluronic acid, and cross-linking products.  Either way, I would first worry about getting the material dissolved, and then let your face calm down.  With the next product you choose (Restylane vs. Radiesse vs. Sculptra), I would have the injector do a "test spot" to make sure that you don't react to the next product.  Good luck!
