Kind of tough to tell from the photo you provided. It's a little dark and doesn't show enough perspective of your face. Two photos are most useful: a full face view with your mouth closed and a full face view with your lips gently parted. Kind of an impossible question to answer, right? Over the next 3-6 wks, you'll know what you've got in terms of size and shape, although I usually wait 3 months for a "final result. You ask important questions, ones that are ultimately impossible to answer. What surgeons do is try to "put the odds in your favor" so that the implant is as in perceptible and as soft as possible. The best way to address your concern is to use a saline implant. You probably don't have enough fat to transfer and fat grafting for cosmetic purposes is still experimental. They should start to drop and soften in another three weeks or so. If I don't see implants softening at the one-month mark, I will often put my patients on a drug called Singulair. Really perceptive question! The answer lies, I think, in the surgeon's ability to get patients to come back in for photos. We would all agree with you that six weeks is too soon to take realistic postop photos. But it's easier to get people to come back into see you at six weeks than it is at three months or longer. Happy patients are often very busy in their lives at that point and see returning for photos as unnecessary.

The short answer is yes. At two weeks you are certainly swollen - perhaps to the point where you look the same as before your surgery. The swelling comes out slowly, and I usually wait three months before considering any revisions. But if you look under a microscope there a swelling in the tissues for up to a year. Hope this helps. It's a little hard to tell from the photos, but things look like they're healing nicely. At 10 days out you're still very swollen. If the compression garments feel good and you like to wear them, but they're leaving marks when you sit where they fold, you might consider wearing a thin layer of foam against your skin beneath the garments.
