A blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure whereby excess skin from the eyelids is removed or re-positioned, Fat pads under the eye in the lower eyelids can also be removed. Thus returning the eye to is youthful appearance. Eye-lid function is retained and can even be improved if there is excessive sagging of the lower eyelid (ectropion) causing dry eye and irritation.
