A facelift with SMAS plication is a surgical procedure whereby the sagging underlying structures of the ageing face are repositioned to where they were in ones youth. The skin is re-draped over the improved architecture of the face giving a more youthful appearance. Excess skin is removed surgically. This patient also had a four lid blepharoplasty to improve the appearance of the eyes.
