Keep in mind that it can take 12 months sometimes longer for your nose to completely heal. An in person examination would be necessary to evaluate you properly. Thank you for your question. What you are experiencing is completely normal. When the cast is removed you will tend to start experiencing more swelling due to the fact that the cast has been compressing the nose. It can take up to a full year for all the swelling to subside especially in the tip. Being only 12 days post op I wouldn't worry too much about your results and just let your body heal. Thank you for your question. At 2.5 months post op there is still residual swelling which can take a full year for all of it to subside, especially in the tip of the nose. Patients with thicker skin may take longer than 12 months for all the swelling to be resolved. Try and be patient while your body continues to heal over the next several months and be sure to continue to go to your follow up appointments with your surgeon as they can best advise you.
